Activities of the La Crosse Area Chapter include

• Sponsorship of a $400 scholarship at Western Wisconsin Technical College (WWTC) and a $400 scholarship at Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC)
• Sponsorship of student ASHRAE chapters at WWTC and CVTC
• Promotion of engineering at approximately 10 local area high schools
• Co-sponsorship of a Coulee Region engineering scholarship to a graduating senior student pursuing a 4 year engineering degree
• Participation in the Engineering Week fair
• Promotion of the engineering discipline through a mayoral proclamation during Engineers Week
• Monthly meetings and technical program opportunities
• Contribution to ASHRAE Research, including four memorial donations
• Recognition of a Member-of-the-Year award
