This special guided tour offers a fascinating look inside one of La Crosse’s architectural treasures, highlighting features that were considered state of the art at the time of their installation. Visitors will learn about the home’s boiler heating system, separate hot water service for the bathroom and kitchen, servant call annunciator, whole house vacuum, built in ice cooler for food preservation, and the extensive basement piping that reflects the home’s many expansions over the years. This is a unique opportunity to experience local history, early household technology, and thoughtful design all in one visit.
